Michel Foucault
Foucault has had a significant impact on various humanities disciplines. He can be considered a precursor to Social Constructivism. For example, his book "History of Madness" depicts the process of the emergence of a new disease, mental illness, in the modernization of society. I recommend reading "The Birth of Prisons" and "History of Sex" as well. You can find more information on History of Sex I at , along with the following images: https://gyazo.com/d50a491cfef8c468fbe23012316e2ccb, https://gyazo.com/2b2e882ef4952a2a0e1119d94b89ae95, https://gyazo.com/a6c48de1dfbdb7e06840bcea959dd89b. I'm really excited to read them, but I have a serious case of Tsundoku. Here are some key terms associated with Foucault:
- Panopticon
- Episteme
- Discipline
- Discourse
- Power of life
